January 11th: National Day of Human Trafficking Awareness
Events taking place include:
- Proclamations from Arizona leaders
- A film screening of the movie “Trade” on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at the Harkins Tempe Arts Cinema, from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M.
- A Phoenix press conference
- A multi-media event at the Burton Barr Library, 1221 N. Central Avenue, Phoenix from 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. on January 11th


January 22nd: Meeting of the ALERT/Rescue and Restore Coalition
The meeting will take place at the office of Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE)
at the Arizona Center, 400 N. 5th Street in Phoenix. Please click here for the announcement.


March 31-April 1st: Arizona State Refugee Conference

Arizona League to End Regional Trafficking
ALERT, a program of International Rescue Committee - Phoenix, is a league representing law enforcement, faith based communities, non-profit organizations, social service agencies, attorneys, and concerned citizens. Through education, outreach and a variety of programs and services ALERT strives to end the suffering and dehumanization of victims of human trafficking.
